[75154] He was a Presbyterian Clergyman, a graduate of Middlebury College, in 1822. He preached, in 1830, in Columbia Village, NY, and some years later in Stockbridge, Mass; where he may have been installed as pastor. He also preached in Nassau, NY and in St Lawrence County, NY. In 1862 he resided in Fort Atkinson, Iowa where he died. His widow, Lucy, (of whom he was the third husband) was living, in 1882, in Waucoma, Fayette County, Iowa, with her son Edwin B Stillman. (HG) He enlisted for service in the War of 1812 on September 11, 1813, (he alleged to having served as a substitute for Horace Hurlburt), he was discharged on September 30, 1813. He served as a private with Capt. Samual Armstrong's Co. New York Militia.. In 1857, he resided in Litchfield, Medina County, Ohio. His widow, Lucy, in 1878, was residing in Ft. Atkinson, Winneshiek County, Ohio.
