[70201] Their first four children were baptized in Wethersfield, two on 24 April 1774 and because of the 1768 marriage date and the age of daughter Mary at the time of her brother, Simeon's, estate settlement, it is believed that Mary was six years old at the of her baptism.

[70202] Simeon and Mary moved to Winchester, Ct. about 1780 with Stephen Spencer, John Church, Thomas Cannon, Stephen Scovel, Benjamin Woodruff, Wm Barnstable and Prince Negro. Simeon served in John Hill's Company during the Revolutionary War.

Hurlbut, Simeon (Mass). Ensign 21st Continental Infantry, 1st January, to 31st December, 1776; Lieutenant 4th Massachusetts, 1st January, 1777; resigned 30th October, 1777, (Died 16th August, 1825.)

[70203] Simeon was a seaman, who purchased land in Sheffield, Berkshire Co., Mass., on July 4, 1796. Simeon's father and family moved to Sheffield and occupied the house and lands. 'East side of the Great River, the first piece lying on the east side of the road, bounded South on Moses Stockington, North on David Stillmans land, the northwest and the northeast bounds are white oak staddles, marked with stones about them and the southeast bounds are a walnut stump, with stones about it, the other piece is the home-lot on which the house and barn stands. Bounding north on David Stillmans Land, east on the Highway, being 30 rods south on the Highway, East and west forty on rods and 20 rods wide at the west end, and containing 6 acres, be it more or less.' (Hulbert-Renner)
Before 1790, Simeon and his family moves back to Wethersfield. The Hurlbut Genealogy says that he settled in Sheffield, Mass were he died from the bite of a mad dog, about 1800.
